PERFUME WORKSHOP
A perfumery workshop for your team, delivered by a working perfumer.
I am Louise Smith, founder and perfumer at Wales Perfumery. Since 2019 I have been running hands-on perfumery workshops from my studio in Monmouthshire, and I bring the same expertise and care to every corporate event I take on.
A corporate perfume workshop works for team away days, staff celebrations, client entertainment, and Christmas parties. There is no prior knowledge needed, no competitive element, and nothing that feels forced. Just a working perfumer, real fragrance materials, and the quietly absorbing process of creating something entirely your own.
During the 1.5 hour session, your group will work through the principles of perfumery, exploring top, middle, and base notes using real materials and scent strips. Each person chooses their favourites, a bespoke formula is created from their choices, and they blend and bottle their own 30ml eau de parfum to take home. Every blend is genuinely their own.

Group size: 10 to 20 at your venue; up to 12 for exclusive studio hire. Larger groups can be accommodated at your venue – please get in touch to discuss.
What everyone takes home: A 30ml bespoke Eau de Parfum, hand-blended by them.

FAQs
Is this suitable for everyone? +
Absolutely. Perfumery is a genuinely inclusive experience – no special skills, no prior knowledge, and no particular affinity for fragrance required. Every corporate perfume workshop is gender neutral and suitable for all. Guests regularly surprise themselves with what they create.
How long does the workshop take? +
Each session runs for 1.5 hours, including an introduction to the principles of perfumery, time to explore the materials, blending, and bottling. We recommend allowing a little time either side for guests to settle in and enjoy their finished fragrance before leaving.
Do you come to us, or do we come to you? +
Both options are available. I can travel to your venue with everything needed to run the workshop, or smaller groups can book exclusive use of the Wales Perfumery studio in Monmouthshire for a more immersive experience.
What space do you need at our venue? +
A room with enough table space for guests to work comfortably side by side, good lighting, and reasonable ventilation. Full room guidance notes will be sent on booking so you know exactly what to prepare.
How far will you travel? +
Travel is included for venues within 100 miles of Monmouthshire. For locations beyond that, please get in touch and we can discuss a travel supplement.
How many people can take part? +
